Wheeler Trail   Outdoors people generally like this part of Colorado. Gotta get out of the city man, and Wheeler Trail in Montezuma County, Colorado is a great place to go. In the Mesa Verde you'll find lots of hiking trails, it's a great hiking area. You'll have to go far from Farmington to get to Wheeler Trail but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Mesa Verde National Park is a very nice spot to explore close to Wheeler Trail; Wheeler     Trail is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Wild wild Rest is a delightful place to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of the Mesa Verde. Mancos State Park is both pleasant and charming, and it's in the vicinity of Wheeler Trail, and Weber Canyon is a good location to take a look at. Stay the night at Morfield Campground, and the great folks of Mesa Verde National Park like to hang out close by. High temperatures at Wheeler Trail through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wheeler Trail. Wheeler Trail   is typically a relatively dehydrated spot. August is when you get the most rain here, and June is when it's the driest.
