Narragansett Trail

There doesn't appear to be any trailhead, no parking, no signage at this location, or within 1/2 mile either way on the road.
Says Larry Snowberger

Pretty far from Norwich-New London you find Narragansett Trail but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. Connecticut has so much to offer nature lovers. Narragansett Trail is in close proximity to Long Pond Dam which is a beautiful site without doubt worth visiting; let's not forget Lantern
Brook which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River, and Nauyaug Coast is pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Hill Brook flows through this area, and when
you're here it's always fun to stop at Hopeville Pond State Park. If you want to hit the beach, DuBois Beach is around here, and Narragansett Trail is a spot with many visitors from North Stonington. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Narragansett Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Seaport Campground is a nice place to camp. Camping is available at Highland Orchards Resort Park. Narragansett Trail typically gets a large
amount of rainfall. The month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; June is the month with the least moisture. During the summer at Narragansett Trail highs are mostly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Narragansett Trail are in the 10's.
