Quinnipiac Trail   Quinnipiac Trail is not very near New Haven-Milford at all but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Farmington River - Collinsville, and hey, Butterworth Brook is a great local stream. Turners Pond Dam is worth going to since you're here, and some of the water nearby flows, like Eaton Brook. Quinnipiac Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Gentile's Camp Ground is a nice     local campground. Places like Sleeping Giant State Park are nice to explore, and beaches are great and Dossin Park Beach is no exception.
