Prairie Trail   Prairie Trail is a long drive away from Ocala but it sure is a nice trail. Hiking here in Florida is a must. Beaches are perfect; and Eatons Beach in the vicinity of Prairie Trail is no exception; camping at Lake Catherine Campground is always a wonderful experience. Gardners Prairie is a beautiful place any time of year,     and this is a popular site for folks from Ocklawaha. Ocala National Forest is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Prairie Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation. Of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. For the period of the warm days of summer at Prairie Trail temperatures are commonly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's.
