Leiberg-Athol Trail   The trail was used by miners from silver valley in the 1900's.it no longer exists. Currently some of the trail crosses private property. You can locate it with gps but that doesnt help because there are no  remnants of the trail,much of the trail is now heavily forested. Says Don Merkeley Leiberg-Athol Trail is a trail quite far from Coeur d'Alene but it is one of many great trails in this area. Hiking here in Idaho is a must. Time to get out and breathe     some fresh air, and Leiberg-Athol Trail in Kootenai County, Idaho is such a great place. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Bitterroot Range where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Leiberg-Athol Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Farragut State Park is a wonderful local campground. Coeur d'Alene River - Little North Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot next to Leiberg-Athol Trail, and on a splendid day it's a nice idea to spend the day at Honeysuckle Beach. This ski area is so great. Trapper Creek is a good local stream, and camping at Kestrel Campground is always a splendid experience. Some of the water close by flows, like Roush Creek,   and Farragut State Park is a good spot. Leiberg-Athol Trail is not far at all from Bayview, and you can hit the beach if you want, Silver Beach is practically right here. This place is peerless, just look at all the fun stuff to do next to Leiberg-Athol Trail.
