McClure Trail   If you are in Idaho during hiking season you have to go hiking. Pretty far from Mountain Home you find McClure Trail but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Salmon River Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and McClure Trail in Valley County, Idaho is such a great place. Whitewater paddling is good on Johnson     Creek; a pleasant place to camp here at McClure Trail is Pen Basin Campground. So much amusing stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Johnson Creek. Camping at Buck Mountain Campground is always a wonderful experience. High temperatures at McClure Trail through the summertime months are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at McClure Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at McClure Trail.
