There's some flowing water nearby, Donkey Creek is a stream you can pop by while here. You can run the rapids of Clearwater River - South Fork next to Mule Creek Trail. From a rainfall point of view Mule Creek Trail is a quite typical location. Most of the snow falls through January; the driest of the months is July. At Mule   Creek Trail during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mule Creek Trail plunge into the 10's.
