  Slate-Dunn Peak Trail is a long drive away from Coeur d'Alene but when you hike it you're always having a good time. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Slate-Dunn Peak Trail in Shoshone County, Idaho is just what you need. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Bitterroot Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.

You'll need more than a day to explore everything Slate-Dunn Peak Trail has to offer, you can camp at Down By The Depot RV Park. So much  
cool stuff to do at Slate-Dunn Peak Trail, so little time. Hamilton Creek is right next door to Slate-Dunn Peak Trail and is always a joy to go to. Slate-Dunn Peak Trail gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall. January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July.
