Cliffside Trail

In the Cumberland Plateau Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails, it's a great hiking area. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in McCreary County of Kentucky, Cliffside Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. A visit to Kentucky is not complete without some hiking.
You'll have to go far from Corbin to get to Cliffside Trail but it is a really good trail. Here at Cliffside Trail you'll most likely
meet some folks from Corbin. A trip to Cumberland Falls State Park invigorates the soul, and there's some flowing water close by, Lower Twin Branch is a stream you can check out while you're here. Not far from Cliffside Trail you
acquire some nice water scenery at Noes Breakwater. Upper Twin Branch is right next door to Cliffside Trail and is always a joy to explore. Whitewater paddling is great on Laurel River, and if you came to camp Sawyer Campground is a good place to do that. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bark Camp Creek. Cliffside Trail is in close proximity to Cold Spring Hollow which is absolutely worth stopping at. There's
so much to do here at Cliffside Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Branch Shelter Campground is a nice place for that. At Cliffside Trail through the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
