South Trail   South Trail is not very near Washington-Arlington-Alexandria at all but It's always fun to hike here. Places like Cedarville State Forest are nice to visit; there's some flowing water close by, Wolf Den Branch is a stream you can visit while you're here. Hit the beach if you want, Bathing Beach is practically right here. If time allows, Fort Washington Park is a national park worth going to; Wicomico Beach is relatively nearby if you're in a beach type of     mood. Cedarville State Park is a perfect campground nearby; Anacostia River is a good whitewater spot nearby. Stay the night at Duncan's Family Campground, and you're sure to stumble upon some good folks from Brandywine here. You absolutely should fancy South Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at South Trail is close to the national average. August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at South Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 70's.
