Appalachian National Scenic Trail

  This part of Maine is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Appalachian National Scenic Trail in Oxford County, Maine is the outdoors at it's best. Peacock Beach State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Cobbosseecontee Stream. Take a side trip to Mill Stream, and lots of people from Vienna come here. Appalachian National Scenic Trail is
    good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Laurel is a good local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Sandy River. There's some exciting stuff to distinguish at Mill Pond Dam
next to Appalachian National Scenic Trail. If you came to camp Five Seasons Campground is a good place to do that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Appalachian National Scenic Trail a wet place. November is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. All through the days of summer here at Appalachian National Scenic Trail, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip  
down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Appalachian National Scenic Trail dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
