Bald Mountain Trail   Climbed 9/5/09. Awsome! Clear with a good wind but what a view!!!!!!!!!! Very easy climb compaired to say Mt Kahtadin. Says Jamie Maine is a great place for hikers. A long drive separates Augusta-Waterville from Bald Mountain Trail, but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. If you came for an overnight stay Jackman Landing Campground is a perfect spot to camp. There's whitewater on Penobscot River - South Branch for all     you adrenaline junkies. Moose River Campground is a good campground nearby; some close by water includes Heald Inlet. There are plenty of people from Jackman here at Bald Mountain Trail. At Bald Mountain Trail through the summertime highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Bald Mountain Trail night low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. The yearly precipitation here at Bald Mountain Trail is about average.
