Silver Mine Trail   Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and if you happen to be in Madison County of Missouri, Silver Mine Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. In the Ozarks there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. A long drive separates Farmington from Silver Mine Trail, but it sure is a nice trail. This part of Missouri is always a pleasure to visit during hiking     season. Here at Silver Mine Trail you'll most likely meet some people from Farmington, and there are some good whitewater spots on Turkey Creek. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing things to do in the Ozarks. Silver Mine Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Sam A Baker State Park is a pleasant local campground. Sam A. Baker State Park is a scenic site any time of year, and it's a nice idea to stop at Turkey Creek. If you come at the right time of year, St. Francis River offers some tremendous whitewater. A quick tour to Mud Creek in the vicinity of Silver Mine Trail is a glorious idea, and Mud Creek Shut-in is another great place to stop at close by. You'll   wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Silver Mine Trail. If you came to camp St Joe State Park is a great place to do that; not far from Silver Mine Trail you acquire some great water scenery at Silver Mine Dam.
