Backside Trail   This part of Montana is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. A long drive separates Helena from Backside Trail, but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Backside Trail is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, H and C RV Campground and Store is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. Spend the day on the beach at Black Sandy Beach while you're here at Backside Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover     everything Backside Trail has to offer, you can camp at Helena Campground and RV Park. You can run the rapids of Whitewater Outfitter - Montana River Outfitters next to Backside Trail, and a perfect site to take a look at close by is Grizzly Gulch. A great location for whitewater paddling next to Backside Trail is Boulder River; there are plenty of folks from Fort Harrison here. Why not take a look at close by Sevenmile Creek if you're here at Backside Trail. During the summertime at Backside Trail temperatures are typically in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures   at Backside Trail dip into the 0's. Backside Trail gets very little rain. The wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
