Columbia Mountain Trail

Very easy hike. I started hiking here back when I was out of shape. Not difficult at all. Many trails in this area that are considered a moderate hike are much more difficult. If you are in good shape, it's nothing.
Says Shaun

I need directions to Columbia mountain trail! Only lived here a year don't know many hiking areas.
Says Nik

David Shamp and brothers ran up this trail #7 in 1965 in 2hours flat from C. F.
Says C Taylor

Ignore
any that say this is any easy hike...Besides Mt. Brown Lookout, this is the most strenuous day hike in the area...I'm in great shape and have climb most every peak in Glacier and at it took me 3 hours to get to lookout... Will take
most at least 4... Start early.
Says Climber Joe

Was not to bad of a hike. Great views of falls and the valley.
Says Mike

This hike was the balls!
Says John

It is a really easy climb! I think your dog also can walk. Succes.
Says Chicky

I have hiked this trail in summer with little work. However, I Tried it in march-09 and found it very difficult for several reasons. The snow was only 1 of many things.
Says Chris

It is a pretty substantial hike for most.  There is a 4000+ ft elevation gain to the top with a long flatish section midway.  It is occasionally used by dirt bikes, but I've only ever seen one on the trail.  Great views of the valley and the peaks of Glacier National Park.
Says George

Not grueling at all. A very easy hike. Also not a peaceful walk.
Says Emily

Beautiful views of the Flathead Valley. Look for the waterfall hidden off the uphill side of the trail about 2 miles in. When you come to the first creek to cross, head up along the creek. Waterfall is just a short jaunt up.
Says Miriam

Grueling uphill climb; not for beginners. Bring ample supply of water during summer months.
