Water Hill Trail   Today I hiked part way up Water Hill Trail. The climb, right from the start, is extremely challenging. I like it because it gives a good workout. There are places on the trail where it is difficult to keep your footing, because the trail is so steep. Says Bill Yates You'll have to go far from Kalispell to get to Water Hill Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Outdoors people generally like this part of     Montana. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Water Hill Trail in Sanders County, Montana is a great place to go. In the Cabinet Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vermilion River. The fine people of Trout Creek like to hang out nearby, and Lolo National Forest is worth stopping at. Camping is available at Thompson Falls Campground, and don't forget to take a great little trip to West Fork Cataract Creek. A great place to camp here at Water Hill Trail is Thompson Falls State Park Campground. At Water Hill Trail all through   the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Water Hill Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Water Hill Trail is close to the national average.
