Baxter Creek Trail   Whoever writes this **** needs to be shot in the face. Says Bill It's a long drive from Newport to Baxter Creek Trail but it sure is a nice trail. Gotta get out of the city man, and Baxter Creek Trail in Haywood County, North Carolina is a great place to go. There are many hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. North Carolina has lots of outdoors activities. Don't leave Baxter Creek Trail without     first paying a visit to Mouse Creek Falls. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Pigeon River; a nice site to go to nearby is Mount Sterling Gap. There's some flowing water nearby, Bettis Branch is a stream you can have a look at while here. If you come at the right time of year, Big Creek offers some wonderful whitewater.
