Thorn Mountain Trail

  If you are in North Carolina during hiking season you have to go hiking. Thorn Mountain Trail is not very near Cornelia at all but hiking it is great fun any time. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Thorn Mountain Trail in Macon County, North Carolina is just what you need.
In the Blue Ridge Mountains there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Thorn Mountain
    Trail has to offer, you can camp at Nelson's Nantahala Hideaway. Paddling on Nantahala River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Thorn Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Deep Gap Primitive Campground
is a perfect location for that. Whitewater paddling is good on Nantahala River, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Nantahala National Forest. Nearby Big Oak Gap is a glorious site to go if you're at Thorn Mountain Trail; do have a look at Factory Branch while you're here at Thorn Mountain Trail. During your visit to Thorn Mountain Trail you'll meet some folks from Topton for sure, and don't forget to take a tremendous little visit  
to Roaring Fork. So much exciting stuff close to Thorn Mountain Trail, absolutely impressive. All the water falling down from the sky makes Thorn Mountain Trail a wet spot. During March this area sees the most rain; October is when it's the driest.
