Basin Trail   Hiked on May 8, 2011.  Began at Rim Junction and headed east and downward along rock face.  Some snow, but certainly passable.  At the top the trail was marked clearly enough, but lost track of the trail about 1/2 mile from the summit and ended up walking off trail all the way to the summit of Hermit Falls. Basin Trail     is located quite a long drive from Berlin but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. There are many hiking trails in the White Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. New Hampshire has so much to offer nature lovers. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Wild River, and Blue Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. And if that's not enough there's heaps more entertaining things to do in the White Mountains. Here at Basin Trail there are plenty of people from Center Conway; Bull Brook is in the neighborhood of Basin Trail and is always a delight to check out. This ski area has so much to offer. A journey to White Mountain National   Forest when you're here at Basin Trail is a glorious idea It's always wonderful to stop by Hermit Falls. Places like The Basin are tremendous to pop by, and Wild River Campground is a fine campground nearby. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Basin Trail.
