Catamount Trail
| | When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Catamount Trail in Merrimack County, New Hampshire is just the place. Hayes Swamp Dam is not far at all from Catamount Trail, and a quick trip to Catamount Brook is undeniably a great idea. The great people of Suncook like to hang out nearby, and obviously Little Bear Brook flows through this region. There's whitewater on Little Suncook for all you adrenaline junkies, and a great place like Bear Brook State |
Park is too great to leave out. Camping is available at Circle 9 Ranch Campground, and time spent at Alton Town Beach is always tremendous. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Catamount Trail has it all. Camping at
| Twin Oaks Campground is always a delightful experience, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Suncook River. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Catamount Trail with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Catamount Trail. Catamount Trail mostly gets a great deal of precipitation. November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. | |
