Sleeper Trail
| | Hiked on Kate sleeper trail twice this year. The first time on 9/19/09; trail was easy to follow and seemed easy to moderate. Second time was just 3 weeks later; trail was very obscure covered in leaves seemed harder (end of difficult day). Some moderate ups and downs over E. And W. Sleeper and on to S. Slide. You'll have to go far from Laconia to get to Sleeper Trail but it's one of those places where hiking is great. Ok, you've been |
cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and if you happen to be in Grafton County of New Hampshire, Sleeper Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. In the White Mountains you'll find lots of hiking
| trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. While visiting this area in New Hampshire it's a good idea to go hiking too. Stay the night at Pass Campground, and Crawford Notch State Park is a good location to stop at. So many cool things in the White Mountains, just astonishing. Lost Pass is close to Sleeper Trail and is a great site; you'll meet a lot of people from Waterville Valley here. Swift River is a wonderful whitewater spot near Sleeper | |
|
Trail, and if you want to hit the beach, Moultonborough Town Beach is in close proximity. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swift River. There's so much
to do here at Sleeper Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Passaconaway Campground is a tremendous place for that.
