Atalaya Trail   This trail is NOT far from Santa Fe. It's accessible from the St. Johns College parking lot. Says Hiker You'll have to go far from Santa Fe to get to Atalaya Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Atalaya Trail in Santa Fe County, New Mexico is such a great place. New Mexico is a good place for outdoors people. Whitewater paddling is nice on Whitewater Outfitter     - Kokopelli Rafting Adventures, and not far from Atalaya Trail you obtain some good water scenery at McClure Dam. People from Glorieta love to come to Atalaya Trail, and going to Hyde Memorial State Park is a good thing to do. Tesuque Pueblo RV Campground is a great campground nearby; Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a nice place close by. If you came for an overnight stay Big Tesuque Campground is a wonderful spot to camp. Paddling on Whitewater Outfitter - Santa Fe Rafting Outfitters is so much fun; Agua Sarca Creek is in the vicinity of Atalaya Trail and is always a diversion to visit. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are really plentiful here at Atalaya Trail. High temperatures   at Atalaya Trail through the summer are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Atalaya Trail. Atalaya Trail is a location that is pretty waterless commonly.
