Bancos Loop

  In the San Juan and Jemez Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. As long as you like the outdoors you will like New Mexico. Bancos Loop is not very near Los Alamos at all but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Bancos Loop in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is a really good place to spend some time.
Some nearby water includes El Rechuelos,
    and float down the rapids of Rio Chama in a kayak. All the outdoors cool stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. If you came to camp Abiquiu Inn is a good spot to do that; Bandelier National
Monument is one of the destinations that are fine to have a look at close by. There are plenty of folks from Canones here at Bancos Loop. Getting to East Fork Polvadera Creek from Bancos Loop is trouble-free. There's so much to do here at Bancos Loop that you need to camp here for a while, Las Conchas Campground is a fine spot for that. If you come at the right time of year, Jemez River offers some tremendous whitewater. During the summer, highs typically are  
in the 80's at Bancos Loop. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Bancos Loop. Bancos Loop gets very little rain. Of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
