Base Trail   Base Trail is located quite a long drive from Alamogordo but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. There are many hiking trails in the Sacramento Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Base Trail in Lincoln County, New Mexico is a great place to go. This part of New Mexico is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Mountain     High RV Park is a wonderful local campground, and Padilla Spring is an inspiring spot to visit while you're here. Yeah, come up here to the Sacramento Mountains for a good time. Baca Campground is a nice campground nearby; a short visit to Peppin Spring is always worthwhile. Peppin Canyon is in the neighborhood of Base Trail and is positively a magnificent place to have a look at; you'll meet a lot of folks from Fort Stanton here. Not much precipitation falls here at Base Trail. Throughout August this area sees the most rain; April meanwhile is the driest month. Throughout the months of summer at Base Trail temperatures are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the   60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Base Trail.
