Ellis Trail   Finally, hiking time is here again, and if you happen to be in Sandoval County of New Mexico, Ellis Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. A tour to Osha Spring will fill your soul with wonderful feelings; Petroglyph National Monument is one of the destinations that are good to take a look at close by. A visit to Manzano Mountains State Park when you're here at Ellis Trail is a fine idea, and Ellis Trail is not far at all from Placitas.     Camping is available at Turquoise Trail Campgrounds; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Media Spring. Why not camp at Albuquerque North Koa since you're here at Ellis Trail, and a nice place to check out is Sandia Crest. And that's not all you can do here at Ellis Trail. At Ellis Trail you don’t see much rain. The month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the warm days of summer at Ellis Trail highs are typically in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
