Highline Trail

Pretty far from Los Alamos you find Highline Trail but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. New Mexico is a good place for outdoors people. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, it's a great hiking area.
Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Rio Arriba County of New Mexico, Highline Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. In case you don’t mind getting
drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jemez River. A quick spree to Oso Creek next to Highline Trail is a nice idea, and Rio Chama is a nice whitewater spot nearby. A spree to Fenton Lake State Park invigorates the soul,
and camping is available at Nacimiento Campground. It's a perfect idea to pop by Corralitos Creek, it's near Highline Trail, and a perfect spot to camp here at Highline Trail is Rio Puerco Campground. Through the warm months here at Highline Trail, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures
at Highline Trail dip into the 0's. Highline Trail is usually a pretty dried out site. Through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is April.
