Highline Trail

If this: Highline Trail re: Rio Arriba County. This trail runs from Polvadera Peak to Chicoma Mountain (Rio Arriba's Highest) ...and is in the JEMEZ MOUNTAINS..NOT the San Juan. It refers to Abiquiu lots..so I assume it is. More infor in July or August when we'll be exploring it!
Says Dan Kelly

You'll have to go far from Los Alamos to get to Highline Trail but it is one of many great trails in this area. This part of New Mexico has a great deal
of available outdoors activities. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.
Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in
nature a bit and Highline Trail in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is a great place to go. Juniper Campground is a tremendous local campground; whitewater paddling is good on Jemez River. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is bountiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. People from Canones love to come to Highline Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Las Conchas Campground is a fine spot to camp. Rio Chama has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Bandelier National Monument is one of the destinations near Highline Trail that are glorious to go to. It is very dried up here at Highline Trail frequently. Throughout August this area sees the most rain; April meanwhile is the driest month.
