La Luz Trail

moving to Albuquerque from WI in July 10'  I'm a big trail runner.  Are there any good trails to run without too many people near by?  Mtn. biking trails?  I did take a run last time I was there up the skiing side of the mountain.  It was beautiful. Any longer trails?  Any info on the subjects would be of great assistance.

If you are in New Mexico
during hiking season you have to go hiking. You're sure to stumble upon some great folks from Albuquerque here. A tour to Manzano Mountains State Park when you're here at La Luz Trail is never a bad idea; a good site to take a look
at is Sandia Crest. Turquoise Trail Campgrounds is a perfect local campground, and if time allows, Petroglyph National Monument is a national park worth checking out. Why not camp at Albuquerque North Koa while you're here at La Luz Trail. La Luz Trail is pretty dried up generally. During the month of August you get the most rain around here; November is when it's the driest. All through the long summer days here at La Luz Trail, high temperatures usually get
into the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at La Luz Trail fall into the 20's.
