Miller Springs Trail

  Finally, hiking time is here again, and Miller Springs Trail in Grant County, New Mexico is the outdoors at it's best. Hiking trails are all over the San Francisco Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. Hiking here in New Mexico is a must.
It's a long drive from Silver City to Miller Springs Trail but when you hike it you're always having a good time. You'll meet a lot of folks from Gila here, and Miller Spring is a fine local attraction. But wait,
    there's more entertaining things to do in the San Francisco Mountains. Stay the night at Pine Flats Campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gila River. Scorpion
Corral Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and Gila National Forest is worth stopping at. Not much precipitation falls here at Miller Springs Trail. July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is April. Through the summertime months, highs generally are in the 90's at Miller Springs Trail, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, usually in the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Miller Springs Trail.
