Padilla Trail   If you are in New Mexico during hiking season you have to go hiking. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Padilla Trail in Lincoln County, New Mexico is a really good place to spend some time. In the Sacramento Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Padilla Trail is not very near Alamogordo at all but it is one of many great trails in this area. A magnificent     place to take a look at near Padilla Trail is Santa Rita Canyon, and Upper Padilla Spring is a fine local attraction. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is plentiful here in the Sacramento Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Padilla Trail has to offer, you can camp at Mountain High RV Park. Padilla Spring is always fun to check out. There's so much to do here at Padilla Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Baca Campground is a great location for that. Padilla Trail is not far at all from Fort Stanton. At Padilla Trail during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly   in the 50's; nighttime lows at Padilla Trail throughout the wintertime regularly sink into the 20's. Padilla Trail is a location that is rather waterless frequently. The month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while April is generally the driest month.
