Padre Alonzo Trail   A visit to New Mexico is not complete without some hiking. Hiking trails are all over the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. Gotta get out of the city man, and Padre Alonzo Trail in Sandoval County, New Mexico is a perfect place for getting out. A long drive separates Los Alamos from Padre Alonzo Trail, but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. A short visit to Jemez Hot Springs Original Springs is always     worthwhile; Fenton Lake State Park is a nice spot to go. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Padre Alonzo Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Vista Linda Campground is a great local campground. Padre Alonzo Trail is near Soda Dam which is a stunning location certainly worth checking out, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jemez River. A tremendous place to camp here at Padre Alonzo Trail is Jemez Falls - Santa Fe National Forest, and nearby Church Canyon is a glorious place to go. While you're here at Padre Alonzo Trail you will meet lots of people from nearby Ponderosa. Soda   Dam Springs East is a delightful place to stop at while you're at Padre Alonzo Trail. At Padre Alonzo Trail you don’t see much rainfall. All through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is April.
