Palacio Trail   Pretty far from Espanola you find Palacio Trail but when you hike it you're always having a good time. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Palacio Trail in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is a good choice. New Mexico is a good place for outdoors people. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, it's a great hiking area. A great place to camp here at Palacio Trail is Cottonwood     RV Park, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Rio Chama. Man, is there lots of fun things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Don't miss out on a spree to Bandelier National Monument if you're here at Palacio Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Grande. Palacio Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Abiquiu Inn is a magnificent local campground. You're sure to come across some wonderful people from Medanales here. Throughout the long summer days at Palacio Trail temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days   of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Palacio Trail sink into the 10's. Palacio Trail is pretty dried up mostly. The wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
