Rechuelos Trail   Rechuelos Trail is a long drive away from Los Alamos but it's one of those places where hiking is great. New Mexico is a great outdoors state. Hiking trails are all over the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and if you happen to be in Rio Arriba County of New Mexico, Rechuelos Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of     leg stretching. Why not camp at Abiquiu Inn since you're here at Rechuelos Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Rio Chama. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains is great! A wonderful place to camp here at Rechuelos Trail is Las Conchas Campground, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Canones here. Get covered with water paddling on Jemez River; if you haven’t been to Bandelier National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it if you're here. At Rechuelos Trail all through the long summer days highs are in the 80's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are regularly in   the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Rechuelos Trail temperatures descend to the 0's. It is very dry here at Rechuelos Trail frequently. During the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is April.
