Redonda Trail

  Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Redonda Trail in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is a great place to go. No chance of getting bored in New Mexico if you like the outdoors. In the San Juan and Jemez Mountains there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Pretty far from Los Alamos you find Redonda Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that.
Some
    of the water close by flows, like Oso Creek, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Jemez River. Having a splendid time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is painless. Stay the night at Rio Puerco Campground; if you come
at the right time of year, Rio Chama offers some good whitewater. Here at Redonda Trail you'll probably meet some folks from Coyote. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Redonda Trail has to offer, you can camp at Rio las Vacas Campground. Rito Redondo is a nice local stream; Fenton Lake State Park is a splendid location to stretch your legs a bit. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Redonda Trail. Not much rain falls  
here at Redonda Trail. August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is April. Summer at Redonda Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Redonda Trail dip into the 0's.
