Signal Peak Trail   If you are in New Mexico during hiking season you have to go hiking. Signal Peak Trail is a long drive away from Silver City but it's one of those places where hiking is great. McMillan Spring is a nice local attraction; there are plenty of people from Arenas Valley here. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gila River. Signal Peak Trail is a nice site to visit for more than one day, McMillan Campground is a nice site to camp nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Signal Peak Trail. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 50's with winter lows in the 10's overnight   here at Signal Peak Trail.
