Straight Up Trail   A long drive separates Silver City from Straight Up Trail, but hiking it is always fun. As long as you like the outdoors you will like New Mexico. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Straight Up Trail in Catron County, New Mexico is such a great place. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the San Francisco Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Take a side journey to East Fork Whitewater Creek, and the beauty of mother     nature reveals herself at Midnight Spring. So many amusing things in the San Francisco Mountains, just inspiring. Camp Creek Saddle is close to Straight Up Trail and is definitely a delightful site to stop at; whitewater paddling is fine on San Francisco River. Tennessee Meadow is a fine place here at Straight Up Trail, and a journey to Rock Spring will fill your soul with pleasant feelings. You'll meet a lot of folks from Glenwood here, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Francisco River. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you came to camp Whitewater Campground is a good site to do that, and camping   at Ben Lilly Campground is always a good experience. And that's not everything there is to do here in the San Francisco Mountains. Straight Up Trail is regularly a rather dry spot. July is when you get the most rain here, and April on the other hand is the driest.
