Summit Trail   No chance of getting bored in New Mexico if you like the outdoors. There are many hiking trails in the Sacramento Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Summit Trail in Lincoln County, New Mexico is a perfect place for getting out. Summit Trail is located quite a long drive from Alamogordo but it sure is a nice trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Summit Trail has to offer, you can     camp at Mountain High RV Park. A short tour to Mitten Bar Spring is always worthwhile, and you can stay the night at Baca Campground. Figure Seven Spring is a gorgeous place to stop at while you're at Summit Trail; the friendly people of Hondo like to hang out nearby. Not much rainfall falls here at Summit Trail. The wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is April. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Summit Trail. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's.
