Erie Trail   Erie Trail is a long drive away from Akron but it is a good trail. This part of Ohio is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Lots of folks from Newbury come to Erie Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chagrin River - East Branch. Punderson State Park is a perfect site to stretch your legs a bit, and whitewater paddling is good on Big Creek. Stay the night at Hosmer Lake; Windrush Hollow Camp is     a splendid campground nearby. The yearly rain here at Erie Trail is about average. For the period of the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. During the warm days of summer highs here at Erie Trail get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
