| | Carnes Trail is a trail quite far from Cumberland but what a great place for hiking it is. Pennsylvania is a great place for hikers. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Carnes Trail in Bedford County, Pennsylvania is the outdoors at it's best. Summerville Gap is close to Carnes Trail and is a nice location; if you're stopping by from Clearville, you won't be the only one. Get dripping wet paddling on Town Creek, |
and Carnes Trail is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Springs Campground is a tremendous local campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flintstone Creek; why not take a little trip to Black Valley Branch while
| you're here. A nice spot to camp here at Carnes Trail is Rocky Gap State Park. The warmest time of the year at Carnes Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Carnes Trail temperatures fall to the 10's. An average amount of precipitation falls at Carnes Trail. July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. | |
