Dickens Trail
| | Dickens Trail is a long drive away from Cumberland but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. If you came to camp Hidden Springs Campground is a good place to do that; Laurel Branch is near Dickens Trail and is always a diversion to check out. If you come at the right time of year, Flintstone Creek offers some good whitewater. Dickens Trail is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Rocky Gap State Park is a perfect local campground. is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Town Creek. A good place right next door to Dickens Trail is Summerville Gap, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Oldtown. A normal amount of rain
| falls here at Dickens Trail. Of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. All through the summertime at Dickens Trail highs are usually in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Dickens Trail. | |
