North Run Trail   Pretty far from State College you find North Run Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Shirks Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Moshannon River, and if you're visiting from Sandy Ridge, you won't be the only one. Black Moshannon Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby; let's not forget Smays Run which is a stream that you may come     across while here. Kephart Dam is a lovely spot in the vicinity of North Run Trail, and the trees of Moshannon State Forest are a nice source of shade on hot summer days. Stay the night at Snow Shoe Park. There's so much to do here at North Run Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Hemlock Acres Campground is a splendid site for that. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at North Run Trail. The high level of rainfall makes North Run Trail a reasonably wet spot. The wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most while January is mostly the driest month. High temperatures at North Run Trail through the warm days of summer   are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for North Run Trail.
