Peffer Trail   Peffer Trail is a long drive away from Chambersburg but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. A fine location to camp here at Peffer Trail is Burnt Cabins Grist Mill Ye Olde Mill Campground; whitewater paddling is nice on Big Cove Creek. Peffer Trail is a spot with many visitors from Mc Connellsburg, and Peffer Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain Lake Cabins is a great local campground. It's always good to visit Sand     Spring, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Licking Creek. Put some time aside to spend at Richmond Spring if you're here at Peffer Trail. All through the days of summer at Peffer Trail temperatures are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Peffer Trail plunge into the 10's. The yearly rain here at Peffer Trail is about average.
