Sand Rock Trail   You'll have to go far from State College to get to Sand Rock Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Elk Creek. Camping is available at Bellefonte/State Coll KOA, and there's whitewater on Kishacoquillas Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. If you came for an overnight stay KOA Kampgrounds is a magnificent spot to camp, and there are     plenty of folks from Howard here at Sand Rock Trail. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Sand Rock Trail get into the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sand Rock Trail. An average amount of rainfall falls at Sand Rock Trail.
