Stavefield Trail   Hiking here in Pennsylvania is a must. Stavefield Trail is not very near Lewistown at all but it's one of those places where hiking is great. Gotta get out of the city man, and Stavefield Trail in Centre County, Pennsylvania is a great place to go. Penn Nursery Dam has glorious water scenery and it's close to Stavefield Trail; why not a little side spree to Boal Gap Run. A great site to pop by in close proximity to Stavefield Trail is Smith Gap, and hey,     Britton Run is a great local stream. Paddling on Elk Creek is so much fun; at Stavefield Trail you always meet someone from Milroy. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Kishacoquillas Creek, and camping is available at Seven Mountains Campground. Just can't get enough of Stavefield Trail. While you're here at Stavefield Trail it's a great idea to check out Faust Flat. Camping at Bob Kearns Campgrounds is always a great experience. Stavefield Trail gets a normal amount of rain. The wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is January. For the duration of the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Stavefield Trail while nighttime   lows are frequently in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Stavefield Trail.
