Wigfield Trail   As a Wigfield it amused me that there is a trail out there with my name on it ;-). Since this is too far from where I live I believe once the weather get nicer I'll have to go hike it. Says Brandon Wigfield Wigfield Trail is a long drive away from Cumberland but there's great natural beauty awaiting     you along it. Gotta get out of the city man, and Wigfield Trail in Bedford County, Pennsylvania is a perfect place for getting out. It's a splendid idea to have a look at Laurel Branch, it's close to Wigfield Trail, and Wigfield Trail is not far at all from Oldtown. Hidden Springs Campground is a splendid local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Flintstone Creek. Rocky Gap State Park is a nice campground nearby, and Summerville Gap is close at hand, and is a good spot. There are some fine whitewater spots on Town Creek. All through the warm days of summer at Wigfield Trail highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime   are regularly in the 30's; overnight lows throughout the winter for Wigfield Trail tend to be in the 10's. Wigfield Trail gets a common amount of rainfall. Most of the rain falls during July, and the driest month is January.
