Foothills Trail   Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and if you happen to be in Oconee County of South Carolina, Foothills Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. It's a long drive from Seneca to Foothills Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Hiking here in South Carolina is a must. In the Blue Ridge Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty     of these mountains. Jacks Creek is a fine place to stop at; Foothills Trail is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Burrel Place Campground is a perfect spot to camp nearby. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Chattooga River - East Fork offers some glorious whitewater. Sloan Bridge Campground is a nice campground nearby, and while you're here why not explore Mulkey Gap. People from Cashiers love to come to Foothills Trail, and do explore Jacks Creek since you're here at Foothills Trail. Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests is a perfect spot to stretch your legs a bit. Summertime highs at Foothills Trail   commonly tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Foothills Trail. Foothills Trail gets a good deal of water. The month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
