Rim Rock Trail is in close proximity to Iron Creek Dam which is a gorgeous site definitely worth a visit, and you can stay the night at Rod and Gun Campground. There's whitewater on Redwater for all you adrenaline junkies. Summertime at Rim Rock Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and throughout   the dark hours in the winter at Rim Rock Trail temperatures drop to the 10's. Rim Rock Trail is pretty dried out frequently. June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January.
