Basin Gap Trail   Can’t wait to get out in nature, Basin Gap Trail in Monroe County, Tennessee is a really good place to spend some time. Tennessee has so much to offer nature lovers. Pretty far from Athens you find Basin Gap Trail but it is a good trail. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Big Cove Branch is a delightful stream that is worth visiting. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at     Bald River Falls; Fort Loudoun State Park is a pleasant site. Don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Little Cove Branch. McNabb Creek - Cherokee National Forest is a glorious campground nearby, and Basin Gap is also a good spot to explore. There are plenty of people from Tellico Plains here at Basin Gap Trail; Basin Gap Trail is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Tellico Plains Koa is a fine site to camp nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Tellico River. For the period of the warm months, highs usually are in the 80's at Basin Gap Trail; throughout summer nights temperatures   are in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Basin Gap Trail. A lot of rain falls at Basin Gap Trail. March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
