Gum Springs Trail

  A long drive separates Newport from Gum Springs Trail, but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. If you came for an overnight stay Paint Creek Campground is a good location to camp; a good spot for whitewater paddling is French Broad. Capps Branch is a stream that you may encounter while here. Whitewater Outfitter - HUCK Finn Adventures is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Gum Springs Trail, and obviously, A visit to Burnett Gap is always
    fun. There's some flowing water nearby, Capps Branch is a stream you can visit while you're here. You're sure to run into some cheerful folks from Del Rio here, and a short visit to Gum Spring is always worthwhile. What a place this
is for outdoors people. Why not camp at Houston Valley Campground if you're here at Gum Springs Trail, and Gum Spring is an inspiring spot to have a look at while here. All through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's at Gum Springs Trail. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Gum Springs Trail night low temperatures all through  
the wintertime are in the 20's. Gum Springs Trail is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation. May is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is October.
