  This part of Tennessee is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. There are many hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. A long drive separates Knoxville from Stiffknee Trail, but it is a great escape from the city.
When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Stiffknee Trail in Monroe County, Tennessee is a good choice. Going to Fort Loudoun State Park right next door
    to Stiffknee Trail is a good thing to do; why not take a little visit to Wildcat Branch since you're here. You just ought to adore the Great Smoky Mountains. Paddling on Slickrock Creek is so much fun, and a good site to camp here
at Stiffknee Trail is Jake Best Campground. Whitewater paddling is great on Doublecamp Creek; camping at Doublecamp Campground is always a wonderful experience. If you're visiting Stiffknee Trail from Vonore, you won't be the only one, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Wildcat Branch. Be careful coming to Stiffknee Trail, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Stiffknee Trail is near Farr Gap which is without doubt worth checking out.  
Stiffknee Trail regularly gets lots of precipitation. All through the month of March you get the most rain around here; October is the month with the least moisture. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Stiffknee Trail, and the night is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 60's.
